I’m not sure if it’s physically possible to fall asleep whilst laughing, but it is possible to laugh before you go to sleep, and it’s a cure for tear-stained pillows, loneliness, and bigbedobia. While laughing does biochemical things to us, and relieves muscular tensions, it also means that you head is cleared of the intense, deep, complex things, dark and sad thoughts. So, be it a good book, some YouTube clips, an email or text message, make laughing the last thing you do before you turn out the light. If you go to sleep laughing, there’s a good chance you’ll wake up smiling.
