A tenacity, persistence, gritty determination and fearlessness. A determination to go back for more, knowing it will hurt. Learning to tolerate and accept the pain, the soreness and aching that follows. Standing firm for the hard hit. Low, driving forwards and upwards. Small steps, small gains. Then, when you’re knackered, do it all again. And again. The need to use all the strength you have, united by your scrum-mates, spurred on by your supporters.
